The Workbench allows you to create shortcuts to Open the Workbench and Select a database and undertake Backups and Compacts. Given the fact that the Workbench will not undertake the Compact and Backup until everyone has stopped using the database, this is a useful way of undertaking necessary database maintenance and software development.
