Convert Access queries to views and parameter queries

Upsizes Access database tables, indexes, table and field validation rules and relationships to SQL Server. Converts queries to views and queries with parameters and functions to stored procedures.

  • Action queries are converted to stored procedures INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE queries are converted to Stored Procedures, which can either be driven using variables (which are inserted in the procedure calls), or by extracting parameters from a parameters table. Other SELECT and CROSSTAB queries are converted to Views.

Conversion Access objects to .NetUpsizes Access database tables, indexes, table and field validation rules and relationships to SQL Server. Converts queries to views and queries with parameters and functions to stored procedures.

Converts application interface to web based framework. MUST+Web will take your Access application to the next level by translating Access forms into web forms for use with Visual Studio or Visual Web Developer Express and provide the hooks to enable you to launch Reports using Report Server. Doesn't work with SQL Server 2000. 

  • Re-packaging the SQL in forms/reports and controls
  • Converting single forms, continuous forms  Single forms are converted to use the DetailsView control and continuous forms are converted to use the GridView control, in addition for GridView controls an additional DetailsView is constructed to allow inserting data (a feature un-available with the standard control).

The product that we are talking about here is called MUST, an Access tool developed by Andy Couch, a fellow Access MVP.

To use the product you place the MUST  MDE file in the same folder as your Access database(s), open it up, identify your Access database, nominate your SQL Server database and you are away. It is not an add-in so that makes it easier.

When you purchase the product, you will receive Licensed Access 2000, XP, 2003 or 2007 versions of the software that you can use in any of your folders.

A consultant can use the software for all their clients, as long as the clients do not operate or copy or re-distribute the MUST software
