Can we help you ?

Reducing the Width Of The Text

Now that we have a more pleasant font, try changing the width of the browser window to see how you like reading the content on the page.  If you have a full screen width page you will probably find your eyes drifting across from left to right to try and read the page.  Tests have shown this will annoy you after a while and you will probably not complete reading the page.

So what you have to do is make the text on the page a more acceptable width.  Think of the page as a newspaper and remember how wide the columns are in a newspaper.  Certainly not a full screen width.

Here is how you make your document a more suitable width in FrontPage.   Go to where the text is going to narrowed and from the top menu select

Table     Insert Table

Now choose one row and one column and try a width of 80%.

Now select all the text that you want to make into the narrower format and move it inside the single row and column table.

The next page will show you how narrowing a page to a portion of the full size of the page makes to a page filled with text.
