Know Your Fonts - Choose One Suited to Web Viewing

Above is a web page that explains all about our company.  You will probably not want to read it but it would be good if you noticed that the font that is used is very standard in a lot of web sites (including FrontPage).  The font is called Arial and the size is 2.  Arial is a font that was designed to be good for both printed and screen displays and was not really designed to be good on the web.  The font that is being used in this yellow cell is Verdana and it is designed for the Web.  You can check out these very popular sites and the fonts that they use.  Open the pages in source view and look for the <Font> tag

Amazon uses a mixture of Verdana (LHS) and Arial in center

K-Tel uses Arial

Borders uses Verdana

CDNow uses Verdana as its primary font

CD Universe uses Verdana as its primary font

A Microsoft Press Release uses Verdana as its primary font
